INTRODUCTION
Video Conferencing is part of Networking the Nation and is accessible from the Tailem Bend District Hospital. Video Conferencing is a technological innovation process that is available for consultation, assessment, liaison and education in support of patients/health professionals/client/management/community and service groups. Video Conferencing supports and provides health care and education to communities in rural and remote areas to develop, promote and co-ordinate the use of two way, interactive visual telecommunications.
Instructions for the use of the Video Conferencing facilities are available upon request and are posted on the equipment. You will need to setup equipment from instructions, administration staff are available upon request to help if you are experiencing technical difficulties.

BOOKINGS
Video Conferencing bookings need to be made with the administration of the Tailem Bend District Hospital. Video Conferencing is available between the hours of 9.00am and 6.00pm at Tailem Bend District Hospital unless otherwise arrange with site. All consumers participating in a Video Conference may be supported by having a health worker/Medical Officer/Social Worker/Responsible Adult in attendance. To securing a booking for Video Conferencing you are required to:
Provide a responsible person to be present with the consumer during the consultation (if required)
Provide details of the participants of the conference and confirm times prior to day of booking.
If the videoconference is health related then the appropriate Medical documentation would need to be completed e.g. A&E form and forward to Administration.
The Video Conferencing facilities at Tailem Bend District Hospital will be available for health professional to conduct interviews. It can not been assumed that the Tailem Bend District Hospital Staff resources are available to supervise the Video Conference.
The Video Conferencing unit can be utilised for emergency consults at the discretion of the facility.
COSTS
Local Connection: 30 minutes- $10.00 1 hour: $30.00
STD (Tailem Bend– Adelaide): 30 minutes- $20.001 hour- $50.00
STD (Interstate): 30 minutes- $30.00 1 hour- $70.00
Hours Available: 9 am– 6 pm
